About Bandla Hills

Bandla Hills in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, is a renowned site for paragliding, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the Govind Sagar reservoir. Special Note 01 (Sat Phone not allowed in some area)

However, in some parts of India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Sikkim, and some north-eastern states, satellite phones are still not allowed due to security concerns. This restriction limits the communication options for travelers and hinders emergency services in these areas.

The government is working towards the expansion of satellite phone services across the country, and the Ministry of Tourism and Telecommunications is expected to allow the use of satellite phones in these restricted areas in the near future. The move will benefit travelers, trekkers, and adventure enthusiasts, who will be able to communicate effectively in these areas.

Special Note 02 (Not to Carry in Airline)

The government has issued an advisory cautioning travelers against carrying satellite phones without prior permission from the Department of Telecommunication. This is an important step to ensure the safety and security of passengers, and to prevent any potential complications or delays during travel. By following these regulations, travelers can enjoy a hassle-free and enjoyable trip, without any unnecessary disruptions or issues. Special Note 03 (foreigners on tourist visas are not allowed to carry satellite phones to India)

According to the Indian government, tourists are allowed to carry satellite phones to India after obtaining the necessary permits from the Department of Telecommunications. However, it is important to note that satellite phones are restricted in certain areas of India, such as near the borders with Pakistan and China, and in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir. IMF seeks opening of 141 new peaks in Ladakh (UT) India

The Indian Mountain Foundation (IMF) has encouraged the Ministry of Home Affairs to open 141 tops in Ladakh not with standing the all-around 120 open tops for the advancement of mountaineering and journeying exercises in the virus desert locale.

Privileged Secretary, IMF, Colonel Vijay Singh approached the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur and advised him about the working of the association in Ladakh, including its administrative capabilities for unfamiliar and Indian mountain dwellers and adventurers keen on campaigns.

He notified about the authoritative design and monetary commands about IMF in Ladakh and different states.

He likewise proposed directing the Union International des Associations d’Alpinisme (UIAA) or The International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation meeting in Ladakh in 2025 to advance Ladakh as a mountaineering center.

The IMF authorities likewise notified about the proposition presented by Sonam Wangyal, a previous Indian paramilitary staff and mountain climber from Ladakh who got over Mount Everest in 1965 at 23 years old, making him the most youthful to ascend the top, for the improvement of an Academy, including a getting over wall/field in Ladakh and ID of land for its development.

LG Mathur invited the choice to direct the UIAA meeting in Ladakh in 2025. He asked about the climbing history of the pinnacles open in Ladakh.

He proposed sending off a high level global level mountaineering guide course and preparing for neighborhood mountaineering guides as Liaison Officers (LOs) to construct their ability and empower them to become confirmed mountain guides and experts.

LG Mathur recommended teaming up with Indian Institute of Mountaineering and other public and global mountaineering foundations and organizations for directing preparation programs for mountaineering guides from Ladakh.
