01) Mount Kangchenjunga 8589M

Kangchenjunga is also called Kinchinjunga and in Nepali, Kumbhkaran Lungur is the 3rd highest peak in the world, an elevation of 28,169 feet. It is situated in Eastern Himalayas between India and Nepal. From old times, Mount Kangchenjunga has been admired by the people of Sikkim and Darjeeling. If someone climbs it then it will be considered disrespectful to the religious beliefs of people of these states. Joe Brown and George Band two English mountain climbers became the first climber who climbs it in 1955. There are many protected areas including the Kangchenjunga Conservation Area in Nepal, many protected areas including the Kangchenjunga Conservation Area in Nepal, Khangchendzonga National Park, Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary in Sikkim, Singalila National Park, and Neora Valley National Park in Darjeeling, etc have been established to protect and conserve the unique Kangchenjunga ecosystem.

 

02) Mount Nanda Devi – 7,816m

Mount Nanda Devi is situated in the Chamoli Garhwal in Uttarakhand and is also known as the 23rd highest mountain in the world. This mountain is the source of several rivers and streams including the Rishiganga, Pindar, and Dhauliganga rivers. Noel Odell and Bill Tilman two British mountaineers became the first climbers to climb Mount Nanda Devi, in 1936. 03) Mount Kamet – 7,756m

After Nanda Devi, Mount Kamet is the second-highest mountain peak that is located in the Garhwal Himalayas in the Chamoli District in Uttarakhand. This mountain peak is surrounded by three other major neigh boring peaks and is located close to the Tibetan plateau. English mountaineers Frank Smythe, Eric Shipton, R. L. Holdsworth, and Lewa Sherpa became the first climbers to climb Mount Kamet in 1931.

04) Saltoro Kangri/K10 – 7,742m

Mount Saltoro Kangri is the fourth highest mountain peak in India and the world’s 31st highest mountain. It is the highest peak of the Saltoro Mountain range, a sub-range of the Karakoram Mountains. Japanese mountaineers Y. Takamura and A. Saito and the Pakistani climber R. A. Bashir became the first persons to climb Mount Saltoro Kangri in 1962.

Mount Saser Kangri (I) is the fifth highest mountain peak in India and the world’s 35th highest mountain. It is situated within the Indian Union Territory of Ladakh, Mount Saser Kangri I is the highest peak of the Saser Muztagh, which is the easternmost subrange of the Karakoram mountains.

The mountain is located at the border between China and the disputed Siachen Glacier region, near the Line of Control among India and Pakistan.
