Mentok Kangri Massif is on the western shores of Tso Moriri in Eastern Ladakh. On this expedition, you will come across stunning landscapes, including the isolated valleys on the Ruphsu Plateau, and trek through the rustic mountain villages, hillside monasteries alpine meadows, winding valleys, icy slopes, boulder fields and deep gorges. The entire expedition is a hefty fill of adrenaline and adventure. Despite being a comparatively easy snow climb, the expedition to Mentok Kangri peak climb can be tricky and requires a high-elevation mountaineering skillset. These 6000 M peaks in Ladakh are inhabited by the famous Changpa nomads. One of the most rewarding experiences of this summit is the uninterrupted vantage point of the pristine Tso Moriri Lake. Mount Kang Yatse II expedition will commence from Leh. Once you reach Leh, our representative will place you in a hotel pre-booked by Kahlur Adventures. You can explore the famous tourist spots in Leh at your convenience and spend the night at the hotel.

This day is reserved for rest and acclimatization as you have gained a significant altitude and your body needs to adjust accordingly. On this day, you can indulge in local cuisine and culture of Leh Ladakh. This day will also be useful to run any last-minute errands for the trek. Later on, you will be addressed by Kahlur Adventures’ trek leader about the details of the Mentok Kangri peak expedition.

You will check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive from Leh to Karzok. This is a 10-hour drive with captivating gifts of mother nature to gawk upon. In Karzok, you will placed in a hotel/guesthouse by Kahlur Adventures.

The dramatic gain in elevation demands rest and acclimatisation. You will get a chance to keep your body attuned to the changing altitude. On this day, you can visit the serene Tso Moriri lake which will make your heart flutter with its enchanting beauty. You will stay overnight at the hotel/Camp.
Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Today you will trek from Karzok to Krzok Phu. The campsite is surrounded by vast grasslands and Mentok Kangri is completely visible from here. This is a small 2-hour trek and you can relax for the rest of the day at this beautiful location. Overnight stay in the tents.
Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
You will wake up with golden rays of sunlight spreading over the mountains and sparkling Tso Moriri Lake. A sight that will remain in your consciousness for the rest of your life. Later you will start hiking towards the Mentok Kangri Base Camp. upon reaching the campsite, you will pitch tents with the help of Kahlur Adventures and have dinner under the canopy of the stars. Overnight stay in the tents.
Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
This day is quite exciting as you will cover some difficult terrains on today’s trek. You will be trained by Kahlur Adventures’ trek leader to get accustomed to your climbing gear. You will trek to High Camp and climb the headwall section using ropes. There will be a gradual change in altitude upon reaching the High Camp. You need to rest properly and get a good night’s sleep.
Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
The D-Day is here. You will wake up after midnight at about 1 am and start the summit push. You need to closely follow Kahlur Adventures’ trek leaders to efficiently reach the top without any unpleasant experiences on the way. Mentok Kangri 1,2 & 3 are connected by a ridge and the climb is steep. You will walk on boulders, loose moraines and snow-covered slopes. Upon reaching the top, you will get a bird’s eye view of expansive Himalayan ranges, including chamser kangri, Lungser Kangri, Kang Yaste, Mount Gya, Tibetan Plateau and Phenomenal view of Tso Moriri Lake. After spending some time with the welcoming views from the top, you will make your descent towards the Base Camp. You will have your much-awaited rest after an eventful day and retire to your tent for the night.

This day is a buffer if the weather conditions don’t allow previous summit attempts.

Morning after breakfast you will trek back down to Karzok village for overnight stay in a hotel/guesthouse.

Today you will driven back to Leh by Kahlur Adventures.

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with Kahlur Adventures, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.

25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India.
• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 70% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 07 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
