The mesmerizing white snow, tall pine trees, breath-taking views, gushing waves of river Mandakini and everything you imagine in a winter wonderland. Many people prefer the Kedarkantha trek as it doesn’t require a professionally trained mountaineer to opt on this journey. The top elevation on the Kedarkantha trek is 12,500 ft/3850M. You will get to experience some thick snow on the way and a spectacular view on reaching the top. This trek will also give you a chance to invoke your spirituality as you will be close to one of the holiest places in India, and one of the four most important pilgrim temples of Hindus, the Kedarkantha temple. On the way, you will come across Govind National Park, a thick pine forest.
The Kedarkantha mountain ranges are beautiful and entice many photographers to capture their immaculate brilliance through the lens. The safety of trekkers is a priority for Kahlur Adventures. Although it is highly unlikely that there would be any medical emergency on the trek as the Kedarkantha trek is moderate on the difficulty level but in case there are any problems, we have got you covered. We carry a first aid kit and oxygen cylinders handy if anyone requires them on the way. The trek leader is experienced and it is best that you follow their instructions on this escapade.

Day 2- Sankri – Juda Ka Talab Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 4 – 5 hours | Elevation: 2800M
Day 3- Juda Talab – Kedarkantha Base Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 3 – 4 hours | Elevation: 3430M
Day 4- Basecamp – Kedarkantha Peak – Basecamp – Hargaon Trek Distance: 9 kms | Duration: 6-7 hours | Elevation: 3800M
Day 5- Hargaon – Sankri Trek Distance: 4 kms | Duration: 3-4 hours | Elevation: 1950M
Day 6- Sankri – Dehradun Drive Distance: 193 kms | Duration: 9-10 hours | Elevation: 640M
This lovely trek begins from Dehradun towards the quaint Sankari Village. Here you get to enjoy the views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks along with Yamuna and river Tons. After this picturesque drive, you will stay overnight in a hotel/guest house and get to have your dinner in the lap of the Himalayas.

The second day of this trek begins with a delightful breakfast. Not far from your starting point, you will witness Swarga Rohini peak. After having a wholesome lunch, you will continue the trek toward your destination for the day. On the way to Juda Ka Talab, you will come across various small villages, meadows, lush forests, waterfalls, and suspension bridges. The frozen lake of Jadu ka Talab is believed to be formed by the water dripping from Lord Shiva’s hair when he opened one of his locks. You get to stay overnight beside this huge lake and have dinner at the campsite under a canopy of stars.

Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
This morning will begin with breakfast amidst an awe-inspiring view. Since this leg of the trek is smaller yet scenic, you get to indulge in your love for photography. Stunning views of the Himalayas and remarkable meadows await you. After reaching the Kedarkantha campsite, you will get the first view of the Kedarkantha peak. You will have your lunch and dinner with the backdrop of snow-covered mountain peaks and an overnight stay.

Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
Wake up to a spellbinding sunrise and have your breakfast to gear up for an adventurous journey ahead. This day will begin early and you will be welcomed by the gentle breeze coming from Yamunotri, Gangotri and Kinner Kailash ranges. On reaching the Kedarkantha Summit, there is an ascent of 1.5 km and after reaching the top, you will get panoramic views of the Himalayas. This is the main highlight of the best snow trek in India. Before descending towards your campsite, seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and Ganesh in the temple atop the ranges. There will be a small halt for lunch and after reaching the campsite for your overnight stay, you will have your dinner.
Overnight in The Tent at Hargaon
Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
This day is filled with many surprises. Post breakfast you will start descending from Hargaon to Sankri Village. On your way, you will find many vantage points to take in the fascinating views of the mountains of India. You will also find apple orchards on your way. After reaching the Sankri Village, you can traverse the local markets, and food and spend some quality time with your travel companions and natives to share stories and make memories. Have your lunch and dinner here before retiring for the night.

Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
On the last day of the Kedarkantha Winter Trek, you will head towards Dehradun after having your breakfast. You will reach Dehradun, the city of love around 5 Pm. Our cab will drop you at Dehradun Railway station.

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with Kahlur Adventures, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 70% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 07 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
