Government Employees Special Casual Leave (SCL) for Trekking and Mountaineering

As a Government Employee, you can avail the benefit of Special Casual Leave when you join Kahlur Adventures on a trekking expedition of your choice. As per the rules of the Pay Commission, Special Casual Leave (SCL) can be availed for upto 30 days in a calendar year for mountaineering or trekking expeditions through a registered organization. As a registered travel and adventure company in the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) and the Ministry of Tourism, Kahlur Adventures is at your service with a team of highly efficient tour operators. Trekkers need to apply for leave at least 20 days prior to the departure date of the trek.

DETAIL ITINERARY OF MANIMAHESH YATRA 2025 :

The Khalur Adventures team curates the entire Manimahesh Kailash Trek route so you can have the most memorable yatra of your life. We make all the bookings in advance for a hassle-free pilgrimage.

Day 01- Arrive in Pathankot and Drive to Bharmour | Drive 175 KM | Duration 4 – 5 hrs

On the first day of the Manimahesh Yatra, you will arrive in Pathankot and be welcomed by Kahlur Adventures’ representative. You will be driven to Bharmour. The drive will take about 6 hours and is 165 km. you will have lunch en route. Once in Bharmour, you will be placed in a hotel overnight. Bharmour is a mountain district famous for its scenic beauty and the Chaurasi temple. You can visit this town at your convenience in the evening and the Chaurasi temple holds a special as it is a 7th-century complex in the centre of the town on a levelled ground. After returning to the hotel you will have dinner and retire to your room.

Day 02- Bharmour to Brahmani Temple back to Bharmour | Trek 06 KM | Duration 4 – 5 hrs

This day will start with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. After that, you will start a 6 km trek to the Brahmani Temple. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Brahmani. On the trek to the Brahmani temple, you will traverse through lush green forests with a backdrop of nearby mountains and valleys. The entire trail has a variety of flora and fauna spread across the pathway and you get to enjoy the bounty of Mother Nature in her full glory. Upon reaching the temple, you will perform the rituals and spend some time taking in the tranquil atmosphere up here. Later, you will start descending towards Bharmour.

Day 03- Bharmour to Hudsar to Dhancho | Drive 12 KM | Trek 7 KM

Today you will have an early morning breakfast before checking out from the hotel. You will be driven to Hadsar by Kahlur Adventures. After a 13 km drive to Hadsar, you will reach the end of the roads. From here onwards, you will trek to Dhancho at 2, 280 M, the destination for today. You will reach Dhancho in the afternoon and have lunch here. The campsite will be set up for the night. On this trek, you will get to see some delightful landscapes and waterfalls. You can enjoy the evening revelling in the natural beauty of the foothills of the Himalayas. Have dinner under the canopy of the stars and retire to your tent for the night.

Day 04- Dancho to Manimahesh Lake to Dhancho | Trek 14 KM (Full Day)

This day is very exciting and your trek for 14 km today. Your day will start with an early morning breakfast with the picturesque views of the mountains. The trek will take you to steep ascents through difficult terrains for about 7 km with stunning views of snowy mountain peaks and verdant valleys. Manimahesh Lake is one of the most sacred lakes for Hindu pilgrims and it is at an altitude of 4,190 M. Devotees take holy baths in the lake and pray to Lord Shiva whose earthly abode, Manimahesh Kailash Peak is reflected perfectly on the lake water. Kahlur Adventures will provide you pre-packed lunch on the trek. After spending some time at the lakeside, you will trace back your path to the Dhancho campsite. You will spend the night at the campsite.

Day 05- Dhancho to Bharmour to Chamba | Drive 60 KM | Duration 1 – 2 hrs

On this day, you will have breakfast at the campsite and trek to Hadsar. On reaching Hadsar, you will start on the drive to Chamba via Bharmour. In Chamba, check into a hotel pre-booked by Kahlur Adventures for a well-deserved relaxing time. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Meal: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Day 06- Chamba to Pathankot Railway Station | Drive 120 KM | Duration 2 -3 hrs

On the last day of the Manimahesh Trek, you will check out from the hotel post breakfast. Drive to Pathankot Railway station on a vehicle by Kahlur Adventures. We hope to accompany you soon on your next trip.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with Kahlur Adventures, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 70% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 07 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
