Government Employees Special Casual Leave (SCL) for Trekking and Mountaineering

As a Government Employee, you can avail the benefit of Special Casual Leave when you join Kahlur Adventures on a trekking expedition of your choice. As per the rules of the Pay Commission, Special Casual Leave (SCL) can be availed for upto 30 days in a calendar year for mountaineering or trekking expeditions through a registered organization. As a registered travel and adventure company in the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) and the Ministry of Tourism, Kahlur Adventures is at your service with a team of highly efficient tour operators. Trekkers need to apply for leave at least 20 days prior to the departure date of the trek.

DETAILS ITINERARY OF MOUNT HANUMAN TIBBA:

Day 01 – Arrive in Delhi | Elevation: 216 M

Welcome to Incredible India, a land of history and culture. Upon reaching Delhi, you will be received by Kahlur Adventures’ representative and placed in a hotel for the night.

Day 02 – Delhi to Manali Drive | Drive: 500 KM 9Hrs Drive | Elevation: 216 M

After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and start on the drive to Manali. You will reach Manali in the evening and will check in at a hotel pre-booked for you by Kahlur Adventures. After taking some rest, you can explore the local market in Manali, as it is a very famous hill station and tourists from all around flok to visit this city in the Himalayas. You will have your dinner and stay overnight here.

Day 03 – Manali Local Visit

No one would like to miss a chance of sightseeing in Manali and this day is for that. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Manali has many popular tourist spots, You will visit the Hidimba Devi Temple, Old Manali, and Mall Road today. You can indulge in the local food and culture to get a better glimpse of this mountain city.

Day 04 – Drive from Manali to Dhundi | Elevation: 3150 M and Trek to Bakarthach (Base Camp) | Elevation: 3300 M

You will wake up with the cold mountain wind and have your breakfast with a million-dollar view. Today is the day when the trek actually begins. But first, you will be driven to Dhundi in a 21 km drive through Solang Nalla. On the way to Dhundi, there will be changing scenery outside of your window and you will drive through many small towns, views of the valley, native people and local shops. If the sky is clear, you may also get a glimpse of paragliders flying in the bright blue sky. After reaching Dhundi, you will become your trek which is about 4.5 km long. After ascending for an hour or so, you will get a sight of the seven sisters’ mountains. There will be many rocky terrains and thick forests, and you will get to breathe in the fresh air of the mountains. After reaching the campsite, you will walk through the nearby flowery patches to get your body acclimatized. Kahlur Adventures organizes cosy little tents for you to stay overnight and you will be provided with a delicious meal under the star-studded sky.

Day 05 – 14 Day – Basecamp – Summit Hanuman Tibba – Basecamp

The days ahead are filled with adventure, and you will leave behind Bakarthach to move ahead for the Beas Kund Glacier. The entire route from Beas Kund Glacier depends on the weather you will head to Base Camp and Later to Advanced Base Camp. There will be days fixed for acclimatisation as the elevation gained is quite significant at this point. There will be sessions provided by Kahlur Adventures’ Expedition leader to get you accustomed to the climbing equipment in such harsh weather. From Advanced Base Camp, you will ascend to Camp 1 and make the push to Summit Mount Hanuman Tibba. On reaching the peak of Mt Hanuman Tibba, you will get mesmerizing views of Pir Panjal Range, Dhauladhar Range, The Great Himalayas and even peaks like Friendship, Shitidhar, Indra Asan and Deo Tibba. After spending some time at the top, you will start trekking down to the Base Camp. You will stay at the Base Camp for the night.

Day 15 – Trek to Dhundi and Drive Back to Manali

Summit day is the most grinding day of the trek but today you will achieve your goal of reaching Mt Friendship Peak. Contrary to the 5th day of the trek, today you will begin as early as 1 to 2 am. It going to be a really long day as the distance to be covered on the trek is 14 to 16 km and it will take approximately 14 hours. To beat the hunger pangs on the way, Kahlur Adventures will make sure that there is enough food supply for everyone in today’s demanding circumstances. Waking up super early will help you get fully prepared for the trek and the ascend will start at the scheduled time too. After climbing up to the col between 5 to 6 am, you will watch the most splendid sunrise lighting up the Pir Panjal range and Manali. Kahlur Adventures’ experienced tour guides and leaders are well versed with the narrow ridges leading up to the summit and after a long ascent of about 3 hours, you will reach the target of this excursion. After catching a breath and admiring the views from the top, you will begin your descent with the entire team of trekkers. On reaching the Summit camp, we will pack up all the stuff and begin our downhill journey to Lady Leg. Here you will have your dinner and spend your last night on the Advance base camp.

Day 16 – Manali to Delhi Drive

Morning Afer Breakfast checkout from hotel and start full day drive towards Delhi, you will be placed in a hotel for the night booked in advance by Kahlur Adventures.

Day 17 – Departure from Delhi 

After having your breakfast at the hotel, you will head to the airport for your flight back home. Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with Kahlur Adventures, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 70% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 07 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
