Permit for Mount Nun:

Apart from the nature of this highly demanding expedition, you need a comprehensive knowledge of all the required documents. When you are planning to climb Mount Nun or any other above 6000 M mountains in the Indian Himalayas, you will need permission from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation. Another requirement by IMF is that you need to have completed a basic mountaineering course and an advanced mountaineering course from recognized institutes before heading on the expedition to Mount Nun. International climbers need to pre-book their expedition with IMF and upon reaching India, need to visit the IMF head office in Delhi for a briefing with the IMF director and Liasion officer. After the expedition, they need to revisit IMF for a debriefing.

It is situated in Eastern Himalayas between India and Nepal. From old times, Mount Kangchenjunga has been admired by the people of Sikkim and Darjeeling. Joe Brown and George Band two English mountain climbers became the first climber who climbs it in 1955.
