Exhilarating Campsites:

The expedition to Mount Nun is loaded with interesting days and nights in the lap of the mountains of India. Along with being a rather exciting endeavour, you will get to experience the best of nature’s gifts to humankind. Each campsite on the expedition has its own charm and challenges. On the way from Tangol to the base camp, you will come across lush green lands, quaint mountain villages, meadows of colourful flowers and picturesque landscapes. As you keep moving uphill, you will leave the greenery behind and see the brown and rocky terrains. The way to Basecamp has many moraines, boulders and even glaciers. And upon reaching the base camp, you will spend the night under the starlit night at the campsite.

Camp 1 is even higher and you will be taking a much more thrilling journey ahead. You will walk on trails, cross a river and even climb some ridges. To reach Camp 1, you will gain a height of 900 M and it is at an altitude of 5500 M. Camp 1 is in a snowfield and you will feel the weather to be chilling as you start getting close to the peak. Kangchenjunga is also called Kinchinjunga and in Nepali, Kumbhkaran Lungur is the 3rd highest peak in the world, an elevation of 28,169 feet. It is situated in Eastern Himalayas between India and Nepal. From old times, Mount Kangchenjunga has been admired by the people of Sikkim and Darjeeling. If someone climbs it then it will be considered disrespectful to the religious beliefs of people of these states. Joe Brown and George Band two English mountain climbers became the first climber who climbs it in 1955. There are many protected areas including the Kangchenjunga Conservation Area in Nepal, many protected areas including the Kangchenjunga Conservation Area in Nepal, Khangchendzonga National Park, Pangolakha Wildlife Sanctuary in Sikkim, Singalila National Park, and Neora Valley National Park in Darjeeling, etc have been established to protect and conserve the unique Kangchenjunga ecosystem.
